If you live, work, own property, rent, are unhoused, or participate in a community organization in Silver Lake, you may be eligible to vote in the 2025 Neighborhood Council election.
Neighborhood Council elections require documentation to confirm your eligibility. To qualify / register to vote, you’ll need to provide:
Proof of your connection to the neighborhood (like a lease, pay stub, utility bill, or community org letter),
A photo ID, and
Proof of age.
Both documented and undocumented individuals are welcome and eligible to vote or run for a seat, as long as they meet the requirements.

To vote in the Silver Lake Neighborhood Council election, you must request a Vote-By-Mail (VBM) ballot in advance.
🛑 Deadline to request a ballot: April 21, 2025
🗓 Application period opens: February 28, 2025
📬 Ballots begin mailing: March 25, 2025
